Ryan Pither & Michelle Prezioso <3

Hello. You may or may not already know, but after looking at this page you will know. My name is Ryan Pither. I’m a 16yr old Australian Highschool Student. This blog will be about my life. IN PITHVISION.

My hobbies include: Website Coding, Website Designing, Blogging, and hanging out with friends.

I’m also a very academically driven person, especially at mathematics, which I love. The best part about mathematics for me is dealing with raw numbers, whether it be algebra, trigonometry or arithmetic. I dislike measuring and geometry, except for area type questions.

I first started mucking around with Html code in around grade 5 or 6, creating really basic webpages. But I had such a feeling of accomplishment at the time, because no-one else even knew what html was! When it started getting into the more complicated stuff, I stopped coding. In early 2009, my good friend Takorii suggested we start a website together to host webcomics. I would do the coding, and he would all the comic drawing/website designing. So I started learning Html all over again, and it stuck this time! But after many horrible but increasingly good attempts at creating a website, we finally got a pretty decent design and usability.

But the main problem then was that whenever Takorii made a comic, I would have to hardcode the link in to many different pages, update the archive page, the frontpage, ect ect. It all just started taking to long. So I learnt some basic PHP functions for calling files, put our navigational menu into a php file, and voila. I then didn’t have to update a billion different pages whenever we got a new menu item. But finally, I gave up, and let Takorii install WordPress with a ComicPress addon.

I continued coding, installed a few free and paid arcade scripts on ‘Forever Free Games’ (now TPTArcade), editing these all extensively, but stopping once I hit the “Learning MySQL” wall. Just like the “Learning PHP” wall. Damn those walls :P I’m sure I’ll learn both one day.

I’ve always enjoyed writing anything, so I thought, “Hey, why not make a blog?”. I wouldn’t have to hardcode anything because I’ll have WordPress. I could just write and write. And, as you can see, this thought process became a reality. So I bought my own domain, Pithdog.com, and the rest is history.

So I currently own/participate in the following domains: TPTComics, TPTArcade, and finally Life In Pithvision.

Hmm, I reckon thats just about it for now. I might add more later on. :D
